A German study has proven the adage, “sleep on it.” Researcher’s divided subjects into 3 groups and gave them a mathematics problem to solve. Group 1 worked all night without sleep, Group 2 stopped and slept for 8 hours and group 3 worked on the problem in the morning, stopped for 8 hours (not sleeping) and returned to the problem that night. The results showed that the group who slept was 3 times more likely to solve the problem than either of the other 2 groups. It seems the brain continues to work on problems during sleep and restructures memories to allow for a better perspective when we awake.

Be sure to get your rest!
