Science Fair Report and Rubrics

The final written report and poster board for the science fair are due on Monday, December 6th.  I have included links below to several helpful file…

  1. The guidelines for the format of the written report can be found here:  Science Fair Report Layout
  2. The guidelines for the format of the poster board were given in class.
  3. The rubric for the written report can be found here:  Written Report Rubric
  4. The rubric for the oral presentation and poster board display can be found here:  Presentation and Display Rubric
  5. Other potentially helpful files can also be downloaded at these locations
    • I have uploaded two Public Library of Science (PLOS) formatting guidelines.  You should not use these guidelines exactly as written for your report (you should use the layout for the written report as downloaded  in number 1 above).  However, the general ideas are the same and it may give you more ideas on what to include in your paper.  There is a general rules document and a human subject document.  You should view them both to give you layout ideas.
    • Here are two actual PLOS studies.  You can use these to see what they included in their sections and to give you ideas for your report.  Again, you must follow the report guidelines in number 1 above, but these may inspire some ideas that would not otherwise have occurred to you.  Sample Paper 1, Sample Paper 2 with Human Subjects

Be sure to use the items in 1-4 above for this class.  But the items in number 5 may provide some examples to inspire ideas.
